Cape Coral resort community has soft opening - Back To News

CAPE CORAL, Fla. (Nov. 8, 2009) -- The Resort at MarinaVillage at Tarpon Point had a soft opening Monday. The resort, which began construction in October 2007, is in the community of Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral.

The Resort includes a six-story parking structure, shopping and office space, banquet facilities and 184 two- and three-bedroom condos in 19 stories. Shops, restaurants and convention facilities are all scheduled to open in the next few weeks. One restaurant, the Nauti Mermaid Dockside Bar and Grill, opened recently.

The waterfront resort has fully furnished, two- and three-bedroom residence-style rooms ranging from 1,235 to 2,195 square feet, featuring master suites, grand rooms and guest suites and private dining terraces. Room rates currently range from $89 a night to $599 a night.

MarinaVillage, a $150 million project, is the fourth phase of the overall Tarpon Point Marina project and is the only one open to the public. The marina features six villages, the first three of which have already been completed: Tarpon Estates with single-family homes; Tarpon Gardens with coach homes; Tarpon Landings with three mid-rise condominium buildings; MarinaVillage with a condo/hotel and a retail component; and Tarpon View and Tarpon Island, two additional villages of luxury condominium towers.
