Cape Coral resort community has soft opening
The Resort at MarinaVillage at Tarpon Point had a soft opening November 2, 2009. The resort, which began construction in October 2007, is in the community of Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral.
The Resort includes a six-story parking structure, shopping and office space, banquet facilities and 184 two- and three-bedroom condos in 19 stories. Shops, restaurants and convention facilities are all scheduled to open in the next few weeks. One restaurant, the Nauti Mermaid Dockside Bar and Grill, opened recently.
First guests check-in at Resort of MarinaVillage
The first guests checked into Cape Coral's newest luxury waterfront resort, the Resort at MarinaVillage on Monday, Nov. 2. The first guests, Mr. & Mrs. Peter Opitz of Germany, were walk-ins and arrived from the airport at 9:15 p.m. They were shortly followed by The Gazze family, who traveled from Canada based on an ad they saw online. Both spent a comfortable night at the resort and were eager to begin exploring Southwest Florida.
Resort gets its final touches
Tile setters worked quickly, placing one tile on the floor, then moving to the next. Time is running out before guests begin arriving at the Resort at MarinaVillage at Tarpon Point, which opens Monday.
SunStream Hotels & Resorts to hold job fair at The Resort at MarinaVillage
SunStream Hotels & Resorts will host a job fair to begin staffing its new luxury resort in Cape Coral, The Resort at MarinaVillage. The two day job fair will take place Thursday, September 17 (9am – 7pm) and Saturday, September 19 (9am – 4pm). SunStream will accept applications for more than 100 management and entry level positions, ranging from sales and catering and food and beverage to guest services and housekeeping.
The Resort at MarinaVillage hosts first annual GEO Paddle Event
The First Annual GEO PADDLE, the premier, professional and amateur on-the-water geocaching treasure hunt for Lee County, is a first-time festival slated for October 25, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Resort at MarinaVillage located at Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral, Florida.
Fifth Annual McFlats Tournament held at Tarpon Point Marina
The Fifth Annual McFlats’ Invitational Snook & Redfish Fishing Tournament was held this past weekend at Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral. Over 125 kids participated in the kids tournament and over 35 boats entered at $275 per angler in the adult tournament. A silent auction and dinner banquet followed with all proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida.
